How to bring a purchase: 4 steps

Purchases bring the biggest rewards on Tips4trips. Here is how to do it so that everyone stays calm.

Before your first deal, connect payouts to your card: Profile → Learn more → Go to Stripe.

Get the details in chat

The buyer writes to you about what to buy. Ask for everything up front:

  • a link to the exact item or a photo
  • the item price
  • size, color, model and quantity

Lock in the terms

In the chat, tap “Secure the Deal”. In the “You’ll receive” field, enter the item price plus your reward and send it for confirmation. The buyer pays, and the full amount is reserved on the platform.

Buy the item and keep the receipt

Order online or buy it on the spot with your own money. Keep the receipt or order confirmation and send it to the buyer in the chat.

Hand it over and tap “Report completion”

After the handover, tap “Report completion”. When the buyer taps “Completed”, the full amount goes to your card automatically: the item price plus your reward.

Who pays for the item?

The traveler buys it with their own money, online or on the spot, but only after the buyer has prepaid the full amount in the app.

When does the traveler get the money?

After the handover, the traveler taps “Report completion” and the buyer taps “Completed”. Then the full amount goes to the traveler’s card automatically.

Why keep the receipt?

The receipt shows the real price and helps resolve any question about the item. Send a photo of it in the chat.

How much does it cost?

The app is free. Travelers keep their full reward. The buyer pays a small service fee on top when paying in the app.

What can a traveler bring?

Travelers always decide what they agree to take and can ask to see the item first. Everything must follow airline and customs rules.
